Clean instrument without dismantling it
Replace up to 2 missing, loose, or damaged pads (cleaning the remaining pads)
Replace up to 2 missing or worn key corks
Check and tighten loose hinge rods and pivot screws
Check and adjust spring tension
Regulate keys
Adjust key heights
Check neck cork for proper fit to customer’s mouthpiece
Check neck tenon for proper fit
Chemical clean and sterilize mouthpiece

Hand polish body with lacquer polish
Clean, straighten and tighten hinge rods and pivot screws

Check tone holes, leveling and refacing if necessary
Check and adjust spring tension
Regulate keys
Adjust key heights
Check neck cork for proper fit to customer’s mouthpiece

Chemical clean and sterilize mouthpiece
Lubricate keys
Assemble and play test instrument

Dismantle instrument
Remove accessible dents
Chemical clean neck and body
Buff keys
Hand polish body with lacquer polish
Level and reface any damaged tone hole
Clean, straighten and tighten hinge rods and pivot screws
Steps to eliminate end and side play in keys
Check and realign, if necessary, all keys
Replace all pads
Replace all key corks
Check and adjust spring tension, replacing any weak or loose springs
Regulate keys
Adjust key heights
Fit neck cork
Check neck tenon for proper fit
Chemical clean and sterilize mouthpiece
Lubricate keys
Assemble and play test instrument
Clean instrument case

Level 4 Service (Complete Overhaul)

All of the work detailed in Level 3 Service (Repad) as well as:
Remove all body dents and scratches
Remove corrosion and surface blemishes from keys and touchpieces
Remove all old lacquer
Buff and polish all body parts as well as keys and touchpieces
De-grease body parts
Re-lacquer instrument with epoxy oven-baked instrument lacquer (or to customer’s specifications)
Replate keys and touchpieces

Price determined after inspecting and assessing the instrument and ascertaining price of re-plating and re-lacquering.
